I purchases a Dell Dimension T600 w/DVD online. The ordering and customization was a breeze. I opted to upgrade the video card, speakers, and add in a CD-RW drive. The machine arrived in 3 business days, actually shipping the day after I ordered it. I definatly got a great deal on this machine. It's fast, it's trouble-free and the graphics are unbelievable! A true gamers machine, I couldn't have asked for more.
I now understand why this product is normally rated as a "Best Buy" in the top computer magazines. I have had not one bit of trouble with it, and the upgrades are easy to get, right on the Dell site. The only upgrade I haven't been able to find is the one for my WinModem.
WinModems are software driven, which usually means trouble for users. My old machine had an LT WinModem in it. Once I got the latest drivers installed, I cruised along at a 53.3 connection. The Dell ships with a Rockwell WinModem, unfortunately this is not as speedy as the Lucent modem I used to have. I've searched high and low to get the latest drivers, but haven't had much luck with them. I'm still connecting at a very respectable 48.6, but faster is always better!
I have happily recommended this product to people, and will continue to do so. For the money, this is the best machine available!
