I have had one of these for 6 months now. it is quiet fast (8x) and so far never had 1 second of problems. My teenage son has used to create music cds for his player and i write websites and store the data on the cds.
It is as easy to use as any other cd, selectable by going to my computer and selecting or by using the software package they send with it! So far everything I have copied has worked except when I try to what it was not designed to do like writing a disc that is R?W and taking to a regular cd player. If I use the discs that are for write only or I just copy them on a one time cd then they will work as intended. We also have copied some great music for our personal use and you can't tell the difference from the original.
A bit more pricey than the others the 8X cost me around $300.00 but well worth it! What a great way to share things I have written for websites with the site owners!
Would i buy another? Without a doubt!
Down falls....R/W discs don't work on play only machines. But I haven't seen any others at this time that do!
