Chromezone is a sub-site of the community based mozillaZine (www.mozillazine.org). Mozillazine is an excellent source of information about Mozilla. Mozilla is a open-source world wide web browser that is being developed by volunteers who collaborate over the internet. It has been in development for over two years.
At Chromezone (www.mozillazine.org/chromezone/), you can find skins and add-ons for Mozilla. If you are not familiar with the term, a skin is a set of files that changes an entire program's look and feel.
One thing that most do not know is that Netscape 6 is based off of Mozilla. What this means is that you can use skins and add-ons from chromezone on Netscape 6! Most people do not even know that Netscape 6 is skinnable à la Winamp and ICQ. (Including the PR 1 release.) One problem that sometimes occurs with skinnable programs is that there is not a central repository for the skins. Chromezone is the central repository for Mozilla skins.
If you are a Netscape 6 user, I recommend hopping over to Chromezone and trying a few skins. The Sullivan skin is one of my favorites. The site has clear directions on how to use the skins after they are downloaded.
The category for this review is a little misleading, since ChromeZone is more of a website than a browser add-on. I recommend checking it out to any Netscape 6 users.
