Trash The Mouse, Keep The Pen
Written: Aug 31 '00
Pros:Looks and feels great.
Cons:Sucky mouse
I've been using the Wacom Graphire tablet for the last several months on a Windows 2000 Professional machine. I was unimpressed with the mouse that comes with the Graphire; it is sitting in a drawer somewhere... but the pen is excellent.
It works flawlessly with Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash. The software driver lets you customize the behavior of the pen and its little side button. I just wish it was bigger but this is not a bad deal for the price. A great way to get the feel for a pressure-sensitive tablet without spending major dollars.
I'm currently using the tablet with a Logitech Mouseman Cordless Wheel mouse and have had no problems or conflicts whatsoever.
