I love my Dell Dimension L 500c. It was very easy to set up and I was online within an hour after the UPS woman left. I only had to look at the instruction sheet once. I can't believe that I wasted the hours I spent each day on my old MAC, although the MAC operating system is vastly superior to Windows 98.
I shopped in local computer and discount stores as well as online at Gateway. I found the Dell Dimension L 500c to be less expensive and I like it better than any of the others I looked at. The customer service people at Dell are great and can answer questions quicker than I can look them up in the book. Although price at Gateway and Dell were close, I chose Dell because the sales reps seems to be more knowledgeable and more interested in listening to what I had to say.
I have now had my Dell for awhile and I have only had one problem, in which the whole system crashed, due to a virus I downloaded with a MacAfee upgrade (who would believe it). The Tech Support people had me up and running in about three hours and I even ended up with some upgrades that I did not have before.
I have enjoyed my Dell experience and I will be returning to Dell when I decide to upgrade.
