When I first bought my laptop my main concern was how do I save my small files without wasting my hard drive space. At the time a zip was a great idea until cd-r came about. If you must chose between a zip and a cd-r consider this a zip will cost between $120-99 dollars. The cost of a zip disk is about $15 dollars ($29.00 for 2) a cd-writer cost between $199-99 dollars but thier disk run for $1.55 (50 disc for $50.00).

So what is the difference?? Well a zip disk holds 100MB or 120MB a cd-r disk holds 650MB and you can copy music cd's or even make your own music cd's.
