The Rex is the high tech version of the 'little black book'. It is small enough to slip into a shirt pocket without weighing down your shirt and lets you carry your appointments, contacts, and todo list with you everywhere. If you've been shying away from buying a PDA because of the size and weight issue, then you no longer have any excuses. The Rex is the size of a credit card and weighs slight more.
As for look and feel, the Rex is sleek. The LCD screen is remarkably sharp and easy to read in normal lighting situations. The navigational buttons are easy to use and follow the 'Web' style metaphor of using Home/Next/Back type navigation. The Insert/Edit capability consists of a hunt-n-peck keyboard that displays on the screen - you navigate and 'type' by using the Rex button. This feature is good for occasional use and for emergencies; still it is convenient for entering meetings that might come up while you're away from your PC.
This little device makes a great gift for executives, students, and most people on the run. If you're looking for something more powerful [but much heavier], you might want to investigate the Palm III or Palm V.
