I bought this motherboard a few months ago when I was building a system for a friend of mine. I had never had any problems with the Tyan brand and figured that the motherboard was a good value for the price. Once I got the system together I began have odd system errors which I was having trouble tracking down. The computer would lock up when I loaded different driver combinations. After some research I finally found that it was a compatibility problem with the video card. More particularly the video chip and the motherboard. I was surprised because the chipset that I was using was the Savage4 chipset and is one of the top chipsets that I know of. I found out that there is a highly limited number of video cards that work with the Tyan motherboards. I would recommend that anyone that is looking to buy a motherboard avoid the Tyan name brand and the trouble that it will bring.
