Pros: Able to talk to your friends quickly when online or leave them messages quickly
Cons: Sometimes takes awhile to connect.. Messages get lost sometimes

I think I have been using ICQ since it came out...
ICQ is a is like having your own little chat program.. You can use it to chat with people you know or to leave them messages whenever you feel like it.... It's very easy to use and set up.. The icon is a little flower that turns green when you are connected and red when you aren't.. You can launch ICQ right away when you connect to the internet, and as soon as it connects if you have any messages you will hear an "oh oh" sound( I got annoyed hearing this so I chose to turn of that sound..You can do that by going to preferences and selecting to have the sounds turned off) or you will see a little message blinking, or the icq window with the names of the people you have on your list will pop up...You can choose to be non visible if your busy or just don't want to be seen online..You can also put yourself on do not disturb or away when you are online but not near your computer..
When you do a chat with someone you can choose from many different built in action messages they are very cute and fun to use..You can also change the color of your background and your text size and color.. You can also invite others into your chat so you can have a group chat.. You can send little cards for special occasions easy and quickly..You can also send voice messages back and forth using your mic..
Only problems I have had are minor.. Sometimes it takes awhile for it to connect and sometimes my messages won't go through or go through slowly..
Some people i have known have also had to download it again or get a new ICQ number a few times because it wouldn't allow them to connect at all.. I haven't ever had that problem myself..
If you have a lot of online friends or family you like to talk to quickly or leave messages for them then i recommend you try ICQ..
