Why Oh Why?

When I needed a new computer, I went to the store and began browsing the aisles and all the models. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but wanted a computer that had some memory and speed to it.
I sighted the IBM Aptiva series because of the price. My Aptiva was the last one in the store and because they were rolling out a new line the price was greatly reduced.
I decided to purchase it and had an expectation that IBM computers were good because they were the forerunner of computers.
Well this company has lost the computer race. Because of my experiences with this Aptiva, I would never buy another IBM computer again and have told my friends and family this.
My Aptiva is very tempermental. Sometimes the opening Windows screen will sit and stare back at me for a few minutes. When I finally get to my desktop screen more problems unfold.
Just now my CD-ROM drive started spinning and started up the disk that was in there. This is a common occurance. It also freezes up a lot and will shut down programs that I am working on when using the CD-ROM drive.
The images on the monitor sometimes wiggle up and down and quite frankly make me nauseous.
This system also didn't come with a lot of extras. There were no games included, no Microsoft applications like Works, Money, etc. I get Lotus which I don't use and have no desire to use.
I'm looking at replacing this computer soon just because I can't stand
the thing. Rest assured, the next one won't be an IBM. I miss my old Toshiba.
