I purchsed this scanner because I needed to be able to scan photos for my web pages.
What I found was a hard to use impossible to understand mess.
I thought that since it was a HP that it would be a good item to purchase.
It was a lousy choice.
After fighting with it for a week I took it back and bought a Scanport scanner.Paid tons less for it and it worked like a charm.
I do not recomend this HP scanner to anyone.
Instructions were hard to understand.
It was hard to instal this scanner as well.It took several attempts before I was even able to get this HP scanner to instal.After installing it was impossible to get the scanner to actually scan.I attempted to make sense of the instructions,but I have never before seen so much explaining of absolutly nothing.No detailed instructions were given.No help was available.
I attempted to call HP for help,but this also ended in failure.
Not only did the scanner not work,it also caused problems with some of my other programs and had to be uninstalled before they would run correctly.
My advice is to not waste your money on this printer.If you do decided to buy this printer then make sure the store has a return policy and make sure that you keep all your receipts.
