| pravinrao's Full Review: Smart and Friendly CD Recorders |
My experiences with Smart and Friendly have been very good.
First, all of their products from CD recorders to blank CDR discs are among the least expensive that I have found. Though I bought these products with low expectations, I have realized that inexpensive does not necessarily mean "cheap"!!
Smart and Friendly has some kind of alliance with Adaptec so that CDR hardware is sold together with Adaptec's software. This is another benefit of buying Smart and Friendly when you are just getting started with CDR / CDRW.
One important characteristic of any CD recording equipment is its failure rate. Whenever I buy any blank discs I am nervous about the number of discs that will fail. I have found that on my recorder, as well as on friends' recorders (SONY's, HP's and Acer's), Smart and Friendly Discs have a low failure rate, and recordings are made in the highest quality.
My only complaint with Smart and Friendly Equipment comes from the CDR discs. They are not the most aesthetically pleasing of the varieties; the large company name written on the disc (in cursive) makes it tough to make a professional appearing disc. However, this is not important for most uses of most users. Thus, I have found the company Smart and Friendly, for most purposes, lives up to its name.
