If you're like me you probably don't want to buy software or games before testing them out, but you hate downloading the demos because someone in the family picks up the phone before you're through and you lose what you've downloaded so far. Well, there's a solution to that problem now: GetRight. No longer do you have to worry about someone breaking the connection and losing your demo or file. GetRight saves the partially downloaded file and once you're connected again picks up downloading where it stop.

GetRight is easy to use. Once installed, you simply click on the GetRight Monitor anytime you're connected to the internet. The GetRight icon will then pop up on the Windows tray at the bottom of your screen. When you're ready to download click on the hyperlink like you always do. GetRight takes over from there. It takes a few seconds for GetRight to find the fastest ftp site to download from, and then your download starts. If you wish to stop downloading, click on pause or cancel. If you choose to cancel the download, GetRight will ask if you want to continue at a later time. Click yes, if you do and then you can disconnect from the Web assured that you can resume your download later.

You can get GetRight at http://www.getright.com/. GetRight is free if you use it with the advertisements that pop up while you're downloading but don't interfere with the download itself. If you want to get rid of the ads, you have to buy GetRight. There is a free version, GetRight Lite, but I haven't used this.
