The purpose of Imandi.com is to connect consumers to businesses by way of
what they call "reverse marketplace", allowing businesses to compete for your business. Their premise...to deliver sellers to buyers. I don't particularly like this idea. I found the site to be more of a hassle and not very helpful.
Also, I don't like the fact that you have to give so much information per request. If I want information, I'd like to simply put in a few keywords and than have the option of choosing what I want. That's the best thing about the internet, to have many options. And I certainly don't want to have to wait around for someone (the seller) to "get back" to me. I want the information at my fingertips. However, this concept might be beneficial to someone looking for something specific, for instance, the hard-to-find items such as collectibles.
What I do like about the site is their referral program or "Imandi Rewards." You can earn up to $25,000 by referring family, friends, etc. Earn $5.00 for each of your first 20 referrals, and than $2.00 for each person after that. (Sounds promising.....but we'll see)
