FREE LONG DISTANCE FROM PAY PHONES!!

Ok, if you've been on the Internet for any period of time now we know all about pc-to phone long distance calls and such. We've all probably been intrigued (or taken in) by those prepaid phone cards, which usually take off more minutes than you actually use (especially when you use them from pay phones! they take a 35 cent or more surcharge!) Well FREEWAY is the answer to these problems! What Freeway is , is a toll-free number you call. You enter your pin# and the number you wish to call, then hear a series of 10-15 second advertisements. You get 2 minutes of "free" long distance for each ad you listen to, and the system asks you after every ad if you would like to listen to another ad or place the call. Now while this isnt really great for those long phone calls to friends or relatives, it is A MUST AT PAY PHONES!!!! Think about it, most of the time if you are at a pay phone, you don't need to talk very long. Second, pay phone rates are ridiculous! Third, you dont have to worry about running out of minutes on your prepaid calling card Fourth, if you use a "telephone company" phone card you dont have to worry about someone stealing your pin # to call overseas and LASTLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY you never EVER have to dig in your pockets for change!! So even in you dont need long distance, just need to make a local call from a pay phone, listening to one or 2 quick ads and getting the call for free instead of the 35 cents to $2 you would be paying at the pay phone is AMAZING!!! Now to sign up for FREEWAY, they require you "visit" one of their sponsors, which means either making a purchase or applying for a DISCOVER credit card and being approved. Back when I signed up, they didnt have this requirement, but I guess they couldnt give free long distance cards out to everyone! If you are willing to make that initial sign-up sacrifice, you will be HAPPY with freeway! One small complaint I have is that they used to allow calls to pagers, but now they seem never to go through. Also, there are periods of time when the service is unavailable but that is fairly infrequent! GIVE IT A TRY!!!
