Back in December my life was all, bit in shambles. I had recently lost a ton of money when I was forced to sell my coffee business. My best friend and I were destined to never speak again. My life was heading down a dark path and I was only 20 years of age.

I moved back in with my mom for a few months, while I finished paying off my debt. I hooked up to Web TV, but that didn't last long. I had spent tons of money on a brand new computer and with the closure of the business it was now being unused. I hooked up the internet to my computer at the end of November. I installed ICQ and just for fun I simply stated in my profile "I love Sam Cooke music!" A few days after I was online and a young lady from my city IM'ed me and asked who Sam Cooke was. I informed her of the songs that he sang and from there we continued to talk.

Over the next few days, she and I, talked almost nonstop. From there we exchanged phone numbers and began to become better friends. Within no time at all, we were dating. Neither she nor I wanted a lengthy or serious commitment, but we just fell in love with one another.

Here we are seven months later. We live together, we are engaged and we plan on getting married in July of 2000!

We owe our relationship to ICQ. However, it turns out that my uncle trained her mom at the Sheriff's Academy...
