There really isn't anything that I can say that hasn't been said in the hundreds of other reviews, but i'll repeat it anyway because napster is SO INCREDIBLE!!! I will never buy another cd again - provided napster isn't shut down, that is.

Napster is a god-send for music lovers and a record companies' worst nightmare. Technically, napster is a complex chatroom that allows for people to discuss their favorite types of music. After logging onto napster, you can join one of many different chat rooms, categorized by music genre. However, napster's real application is for trading music. The program scans your hard drive and shares your mp3 files onto huge networks for other to search for and download - absolutely amazing.

Napster's simplicity is its beauty. You don't have to peruse long lists of music or wade through frustrating links to mp3's (i.e. "FREE MP3's" or "TOP 100 MP3 SITES", etc) that plant cookies in your computer, while ten advertisement windows open up boasting incredible links to other sites. Simply type in your favorite artist into the search box and hit enter.

Warning!!!! There is a major problem with Napster...it is highly addictive. Let me repeat that - it is highly addictive (as I write this very article, I am scanning thousands of other people's computers in search of music I don't have). I will openly admit to being very addicted to Napster. Music I would never have listened have been opened up to me - a side effect of having virtually every commmercial release available for free.
