I just got this PC about two weeks ago so I will not be able to comment on long term service or reliability. It is going to be hard to type this because I generally would have some cons on a review. Not the case this time. If you don't want to hear someone just praise this system then go ahead and hit the back button now on your browser.

I ordered this Dell via the phone it was a great experience. I do have a back ground in computers since I have worked in the information technology field for the past 9 years, and I knew what I wanted so the experience may have been simpler for me than for others, but regardless it was great. The PC was at my door in 5 business days. I booted it up and the ride was great. The initial setup was simple.

After about two hours of having a blast and setting up my new computer it locked up and it would not boot back up. I was deeply saddened and could not believe that this was happening to me. I had just boxed up a PC from another leading competitor and sent it back because it never worked at all from the time I got it. I gave them three weeks to get it right and they never did. I picked up the phone to call Dell support and believe it or not I was talking to a live tech support person in less that five minutes. The tech support of the other computer that I had always took 15 minutes plus before I could talk to a live person. The Dell support employee was great and before long we had figured out that my sound card had went bad. There was no way that Dell could have known there was a problem with this before shipping it. They did a proper burn in test and it worked when I got it. It was just one of those things. It was a sound blaster live which is sold in all brands of computers. The next day there was a tech person at my house with the new sound card. All is well now.

In the world of PCs once they are up and running and giving the same system configuration they are very similar in operation but support and peace of mind is a valuable thing. With Dell becoming more and more competivly priced I would recommend this PC to my own mom. Their support and reliability is leading the industry and that is not just my opinion it is a fact and I as a consumer have gotten to witness why first hand.
