I have setup and installed over 15 LinkSys hubs ranging from 5 to 16 port hubs including the one included in this package. Though a majority of these hubs work most of the time, I have had 4 cases where the hub is bad right out of the box. Either one of the ports is defective or the hub won't power on.

I didn't have any problems getting a replacement but when you have a customer your putting it in for, it can cause some problems especially if you have deadlines to meet.

In my opinion, these are a cheap solution for those that don't want to spend money on their network and don't understand you get what you pay for. Is saving a few bucks really worth having to buy a new one or going through the replacement process because the one you got was defective. What if it causes more problems with you network that can't easily be traced to the hub? I would strongly consider that when selecting anything made by LinkSys.
