Sex sells, and so does ebay!

Pros:Good people Good stuff
Cons:Shouldn't be any if you keep your eyes open

I would have written this review sooner... but I've been too busy on ebay! It is very addicting!

You can buy practically anything. If you have never gone to an auction site, you should. Even if only to look around, that is how I got started. Now I'm on it more than anything. If there is something you want or need, there is probably someone out there trying to sell it. If there is something you don't want or need, there is probably someone out there willing to pay for it. I have checked out Yahoo Auctions, but in my opinion it pales in comparison to ebay!

The format is very easy to use. Buying is a snap and selling is just as easy. They even have ways of helping you get a picture on your listing.

I have purchased a few items so far and have had nothing but good experiences. Before you bid on something make sure that you read the information in the auction very carefully. All of the people I have dealt with, so far, have been really good. We all know that is not always the case. Some people are just not as ethical as you and I. I haven't seen any cases of flat out lying (that they could get in trouble for) but really watch what is left out! What isn't written is sometimes more important than what is. A seller may make you believe that something is new in an unopened box, but when you read closely you can tell that it is not. I usually buy brand new, unopened items. You also need to watch how much you bid. I have seen used Nintendo Gamboys sell for more that it would cost to go to the store and buy a new one! I always check the price I would pay locally. When I place a max bid it & S&H always total less than I would pay going to the mall. If I don't get the bid, oh well... I don't want it! I have gotten some things SUPER CHEAP! You have to look to see.

I am selling a couple of items as well. If you item does not sell the first time and you relist it, if it sells they will usually refund the relist fee. I've had to relist both items I was trying to sell. I had used reserve prices (amounts that I would not take less than) and I really shouldn't have. One item missed my reserve by a couple of dollars and the person ended up buying something different from someone else. I would have taken the money. Lesson learned. Thank goodness ebay's fees are soo small, it was a cheap lesson. By the way, it is selling this time! Note* your starting bid price is very important as well.

I do recommend using PayPal for payment. Things will move along much quicker. I got the high bid and had the item paid for and shipped out to me all in a Saturday morning. I got the item that Monday in the mail! Money orders and checks take forever, or so it seems nowadays.

Probably the best part is when a listing gets down to the last few minutes. I sit at my desk in anticipation. Will I get outbidded in the last few moments? Can I outbid the other guy? It is like a game sometimes. When I was younger it was PacMan and Donkey Kong at a quarter a piece, now it's ebay at ??? per bid!

All in all, ebay is fun. I have gotten some good deals on thing I would have bought anyway. I have gotten some items that I couldn't find any place else. I have also found some stuff that I never would have thought of. It is worth checking out. Happy Bidding!
