I hate to say it, being the world's foremost anti-aol fanatic, but they finally made a great product. While other services have annoying nuances and features that dont work right, the new AIM betas function perfectly and allow for the best level of user-friendlyness and power.

The new betas include several features, including voice confrencing, buddy chat, direct connect mode (which allows you to send sounds, images, and video), better file sending, and several other new and great things.

On top of this, everyone has to have some friends who use AOL even though we try to talk them out of it. This allows us to easily communicate with them.

I'd highly reccomend dropping ICQ and all other third-rate service and downloading AIM; you will not be sorry.
