The SONY 5x DVD-ROM drive was my choice because of its wonderful price, and its superior name brand. The 5x speed really shows and I get my articles from the National Geographic history collection (DVD edition)blazing fast. The drive doubles as a 24x CD-ROM. It supports audio extraction for all your CD burning pleasure. A simple setup made this product even better. I personally have had 0 problems with this drive or the included decoder card (REALMagic Holloywood PLUS). The drive was even detected correctly when I was installing Linux!! I paid $160 for it when I bought it, but now I've seen it as low as $130. This is a wonderful addition to anybody's PC that needs DVD access (and we all do).
