If it's just basic email customizing options, I really thought that Yahoo was where "it" was at for about the first 6 months that I used Yahoo Mail.

Then "it" happened! I went to access one of my Yahoo email accounts and the system refused to let me in. It said that my ID didn't exist, then it said that my password was wrong, then it gave me access to one of my alternate email accounts taking me directly into it without requiring me to put in that account name or password. I was extremely frustrated at suddenly being denied access to what was then my main account but I think the glitch that took me to a different email account really made me very dubious as to the security of their system.

I tried to contact them and explain what had happened and to regain access to my account so that I could make a complete list of people that I'd need to notify when I changed from that account. But, no such luck. No matter what I did or who I wrote, I could not get any one Yahoo Mail to respond to me and I never did get access to that account.

Then, in what can only be called a lapse of logic, instead of completely removing my accounts from Yahoo, I added a couple fully expecting that what had happened previously was just a glitch and that it would likely never occur again.

Wrong! Oh, boy was I wrong! I now had 5 email accounts with Yahoo Mail.
Then one day it happened again. I was denied access to my new main account. I keep very good documentation of all my passwords and I faithfully enter any and all account changes that I make, so I know for a fact that the error was once again on their side.

Finally, within three more days, the remaining 4 email accounts also dropped out on me one by one, each denying access as before! You cannot imagine the hassle that it has been trying to open new accounts elsewhere and trying to compile a complete list of what needed to be changed on numerous web sites to which I am a member and now needed to be updated with new information due to the inability to access my email at Yahoo. OK, I give, lesson learned. I will not deal with Yahoo Mail ever again.
