| raster's Full Review: Keyspan USB Twin Serial Adapter |
I'm a long time Mac user, so even though there's a G4 on my desk at the office, I've still got plenty of serial devices I need to use. Keyspan to the rescue. When we started getting more G3's we still needed serial ports for some old drawing tablets and digital camera's we had. We got a few GeeThree Stealth Serial Adapters, which worked fine, but had to be installed in each machine. The beauty of the Keyspan USB Twin Serial Adapter is that you can yank if off one Mac, walk to another, and plug it in.
I've used it with a Kodak DC50 camera, and a Palm III, and it's been pretty much trouble free. The price seemed a little steep, but maybe I'm just cheap. For the flexibility it offers, it was well worth it for my needs.
