| lurkercowboy's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS B800 |
I heartily recommend Dell computers.
What separates Dell from the rest of the desktop computer market is the quality of the customer support and the design. As a technician, I take systems apart and replace components when needed and the Dell is far superior to the Gateway and other models in the internal design. It is always much easier to work on Dell computers. Also, the Dell helpdesk people seem to be both more knowledgeable and more willing to help than other companies.
Overall, the Dells give reliable performance with either 95/98 or NT installed. We are also running Linux on a Dell with no problems. They operate well in a network environment or as a standalone.
