I purchased my Dell about 3 months ago. In a nutshell, what a wise decision.
When speaking to anyone, Dell was always regarded as one of the best. Price, Quality, and Excellent Customer Service, is what I was looking for, and with my new computer I got just that.
The price was about $100.00 more than a few others in the same realm, but there 3 year in home warranty more than makes up for that. So far, not a single problem. It's fast, responsive, and for what I use it for, it exceeds my expectations in every way.
When I first called and placed my order online, the phone rang twice. I new what I wanted, so placing the order was a breeze. What I found was a polite, knowledgeable representative that treated me like I was his only concern at that moment. In fact, I had wanted to upgrade to a slightly faster computer, and he told me that for the extra $80.00 I really would not see any type of enhanced performance. That impressed me, because I asked him if he received commissions. He said " yes."
I was told my computer would arrive in 5 to 7 business days. I ordered on a Thursday, and it arrived Monday afternoon.
Last week, I received a floppy disk from Dell. Apparently, sometimes when shutting your computer down, it would lock up. Though I had never had this problem, Dell did not want this to become an issue, so they sent a BIOS upgrade. That is an action indicative of a company who is trying to take care of it's customers.
If you are looking for Quality, Reasonable Prices, and a Customer Service Department who won't leave you on hold for 40 minutes, choose Dell.
