| avi1020's Full Review: NBA Live 2000 for PlayStation 1 |
This year is the best version in the NBA Live series. I have NBA Live 98 and compared to 2000, it feels like and looks like I’m playing Atari (no offense to all you Atari lovers).
This game has incredible graphics. When you see the players upclose some (not all) of them actually look like the real NBA players. This game has the same old 3-point shootout. There’s nothing special or even new here. The thing that is new, however, is the one-on-one option. You can play with any current NBA player against any of the legends. Legends are the all-star team from each decade starting from the 50's up until the 90's. The 90's team DOES have MICHAEL JORDAN. That’s right. The greatest of all time (feel free to argue with me on this). He's tough to beat so good luck.
Back to the game. There is of course a draft, a regular season and exhibition games. Also, not new, you can create a new player. These things are all basics of any basketball game.
Another plus, is the realism of the players. Shaq can’t hit a free throw. Tim Duncan is great. Vince Carter can do spectacular moves, and Michael Jordan never misses. That’s what it feels like when you’re against him.
I can’t think of anything negative about this game, so ill tell you another plus. During a season, if you beat a team by a certain amount of points, some of the legends are “unlocked” Now that means that they become free agents and you can add them to your roster if you’d like.
Good luck and have fun.
