Don't burn your legs!

This review is not about buying a laptop in particular, but about buying a very valuable accessory for a laptop. Business travelers will particularly find this item useful, for it will make those numerous times when they must have a laptop on their legs much more pleasant.
I am referring to the PCMCIA External Cooler, model NB-100. This item is made by Just Cooler for Notebook which is part of ORBITRON International Co., Ltd. This item, which is approximately 4 inches in length, and 2 inches in width, is remarkable. It was recommended to me by a very knowledgeable sales associate at Circuit City...the one who sold me my IBM Thinkpad in fact. He said that he would highly recommend the cooler for it would keep my thighs from getting hot, when I work with my laptop on my lap. He suggested that I go to 3DCOOL.COM, and order the laptop cooler for approximately $24.
All i can say is that the money was well spent. The NB-100 cooler works beautifully. I have noticed a significant difference between the days before the cooler arrived, and now. I often work on my laptop while laying on my couch, and before the cooler my legs would become uncomfortable within an hour. Now, even after several hours of use, my legs still feel only slightly warm- never uncomfortable.
The NB-100 gets inserted into the PCMCIA on the left side of my laptop. You need to make sure that it slides in towards to top, so that it will be able to slide in fully, and so that it will work properly. The part with the filter only sticks out by approximately 2" x 2" x 1/2", so it is very unobtrusive. The fan makes minimal noise, which can barely be detected.
I would also recommend ordering from 3DCOOL.COM, for I received my delivery within less than one week. Thanks to my $24 expenditure, and my little cooler, my legs do not feel like they are on fire. Whether you are a business traveler, or home-user like myself, invest in this item. You will not be sorry!
