A quality DVD ROM

Pros: Great picture, easy install, almost everything else.

Cons: Reads gaming CDs slowly.

I hopped on the DVD bandwagon by purchasing the Creative Labs 6X DVD Rom for the PC. So far, it has worked wonderfully. It installed easily; I was finished putting in the computer and installing the drivers in about an hour. The picture on the movies is fantastic and the sound is perfect.

My only complaint involves gaming. If you regularly play video games on your computer, you might want to keep your regular CDROM because the Creative DVD ROM reads CDs slowly. I played Grim Fandango using the DVD ROM and loading time was significantly longer than with a fast CDROM. But if you're in the market for movies on DVD, Creative Labs 6X DVD kit is a strong choice. I highly recommend it.
