| dustinp's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS T700r |
Last year I finally saved up enough money so that I could finally afford to buy my own computer. I was tired of the bottom of the line boxes that I'd had before, so I decided that I'd spend a little dough and get me a top notch brand cpu, and thats why I chose the Dell XPS 700.
It was complete with a 700 mhz processor, 128 megs of ram, 20 gigs of hard drive space, a 48x cdrom drive, a killer Riva Ultra TNT 2 Graphics card, a 17 inch monitor, and a VERY NICE Sound Blaster Live sound card.
For me it's the perfect system... no more time spent listening to my hard drive make agonizing noises as it tried to keep up with the tasks I was running, no more shotty sound, no more time spent uninstalling programs and deleting data just so I'd have enough room to add my newest game, and probably most important of all... I could actually play online games at more than 5 frames per second.
Since I've had the computer, I have RARELY EVER gotten a lock up or a blue screen, and have never had any problems out of it....
Also the tech support provided by Dell is a big plus... theres a 24-hour TOLL FREE tech support line, and there are several Dell Documents which serve as user guides for the different components in your system (graphics card, monitor, sound card).
