Easy to use. Hard to debug errors

Written: Jul 16 '00
Pros:Easy to use MS office interface. Hove buttons, banner ad manager
Cons:Hard to debug errors, No facility to check correctness of code

I started using Frontpage 98 since September 1999 and upgraded it to Frontpage 2000 in March 2000.

I like it because it is the first web site publishing product with interface like any other Microsoft office product. It has good features like hover button, banner ad manager, hit counter, marquee, design tools for forms.

It does not have feature like Strike-thru characters, and tools to verify the tidyness of the HTML code for standards. It is very hard to debug errors while publishing. We could not get much help for fixing the publishing problem from Microsoft's technet or other Frontpage discussin forums. If you have similar problems while publishing "Connection closed unexpected", you can try to create another web and copy your HTML, images to new web and then start using the new web. (This technique fixed the problem).

I recommend this product for beginners.
