Behind the Shadows and Underrated

Written: Dec 21 '00
Pros:Decent System for the money
Cons:Low end computer

Are you under a budget, well sometimes you can't always spend the money that you would like to on the things you like, for example computers. Finding a decent computer with your budget can be hard these days, and everywhere you go there is sale representitves saying this is the computer for you. But now I'm not a sale representitve, so I do hope you listen to what I have to say.

Intel® Celeron™ processor 500MHz
128MB SDRAM (expandable to 256MB)
128KB Level 2 cache
13GB Ultra ATA hard drive
3.5" floppy disk drive

I'm not a big fan with the Celeron, but unless you are a big gammer and work with high speed programs Celeron will do you just fine. 500mhz is more than plenty as well. It comes with 128mb of Ram is that is all you will need really, these computers that come with 1gig of ram oh its great but it memory you will never use. I've got an 8gig hard drive and I have never filled it up so 13gig is a lot of space.

Integrated video graphics accelerator
8MB video memory
40x maximum1 CD-ROM drive
Mountable Altec Lansing stereo speakers with front headphone input
Volume/Mute knob on keyboard

Although I do hate the word intergrated, I will say that, if your not playing cames or high speed prgograms and primarly a workstationg its perfectly fine, 8mb of ram will do you fine. And I do love the Altec Lansing Stero Speakers.

So if your on a budget, I Reccomend this very much.
