| TFace's Full Review: Elsa Erazor X2 |
While upgrading my present computer, I had to decide on a graphics card that would fit my needs in more than just gaming. Upon conversations with friends, many company names were thrown my way. ELSA, Guillemot/Hercules and Creative Labs just to name a few. So I hopped on to Yahoo, Excite, Gamecenter and other areas of interest in the gaming market and found nothing but excellent reviews about the Guillemot Prophet 3D and the Elsa Erazor X. Both were noted as excellent cards but overpriced. Being a thrift shopper, I focused on the Elsa Erazor X and X2.
About a month later prices dropped in anticipation of nVidia's new GeForce2 chipset. But after careful review, I realized that most games and software can't use the GeForce256 chipset to its full advantage. With 32MB of Double Data Rate RAM and it's own 350MHz processor, how could I possibly pass up this card?
With several games ready for testing and the ELSA Erazor X2 installed, I was ready for an awe inspiring game experience. Any game I installed, it handled with the greatest of ease. No game was too much for it to handle up to 1280x1024 resolution on my computer.
I have since become a happy and content owner of such a great card. I know that I will be owning a top quality graphics card for years to come, without worries of becoming the owner of a "slow" video card.
