Have laptop will travelAug 24 '00 Write an essay on this topic.A laptop is almost a necessity in today’s business travel times. They have progressed a lot from when they first came about. They have gone from that clunky slow HEAVY huge suitcase to small light and speedy. But they still have some drawbacks from their desktop counterparts but that is changing. Ok. You have decided that you are going to buy a laptop computer but are not exactly sure which one or what you need in one. Several things to keep in mind here are what you will need it for and how much you are willing to spend. Lets talk about price first. If you want to spend as less than $1500 then you can pretty much expect that you will not get something other than bare minimum in today’s market. That though may be changing( well talk on that in a bit). for this price you can expect to get a decent no frills laptop[ that will perform most applications and hold most of the data you do on the road and let you dial up you r provide to get your email and this is pretty much all you really need for short business hops. If you are eon the road allot though are a lot of high end data work on it then prepare to spend over $2000. With this though you could expect to get a nice screen with active matrix, a nice size hard drive 9 gigs or better, at least 64 mb ram and either a dvd player or cd writer both have advantages depending on how you wish to use it. DVDS will allow for you to watch a movie or show an impressive presentation(though this would only be for on or 2 people) the writer will allow for you to back up your work incase an accident happens to the laptop while out traveling. If you are eon the road you would probably like to have either a modem or a network card or both this will let you connect to the internet and in some hotels with a really fast connection. Ok lets get back to the way laptops are changing there are laptops starting to hit the market that will give the performance of the more expensive ones with out the price. They will use whets called standard companies some the same ones that came in the desktops this will greatly reduce not only the purchase price but repair price later.  |
