After failing to complete a satisfactory transaction with DELL and CompUSA, I decided to turn to Gateway. The Solo 1100 is essentially a system for people who want performance at a great price, with nothing unnecessary included. The 1100 Solo comes with a fast chip, enough memeory, more hard drive than I will ever use, a fast 56K modem, and a design that is very easy and fun to use. The mouse is a touch pad and works just fine. I should also add that the system arrived at my door in less than one week after I placed the order on Gateway's website. Bottom line: The Gateway Solo 1100 is for anybody who wants performance at a great price. I am completely satisfied with my transaction.
