I was looking for an inexpensive little workhorse and the Xerox name meant quality, at least at first.

The C6 sent error messages after a dozen pages or so. Customer service said it was my computer's printer port, so I hooked it to my laptop. Still didn't work. Customer service then suggested my laptop port was damaged, too!!

Then they said it was the cable. Still didn't work. They sent another computer. Still didn't work. Finally, customer service tells me that the ink cartridge might be empty and that might cause the error message.
Apparently if only one ink cartridge of the four (the black one) is empty, then the printer doesn't work. You can't buy one large black cartridge with this model, either.

The poor engineering even fooled their tech support, apparently. An error message upon printer failure triggered a week long series of phone calls, trips to stores and deliveries, when the problem may have been an errant cartridge. Never again.
