Great fun & great learning.

Pros:Great fun & great learning
Cons:You can't pull your kids away from it.

We have a library of kid's educational software. Jumpstart's 1st Grade and 2nd Grade are the two most fun and therefore most educational pieces of software we own. The 4th and 5th Grade Jumpstarts are not as colorful, animated, or as interesting as the 1st and 2nd. We have tried just about every popular CD there is out there. The 9 and 10 year olds still enjoy playing 1st and 2nd Grade, even more than 4th and 5th Grade. There are so many game options offered, and they are so easy to get to. From the Classroom, you can go to the Easel and create; or the Bookshelf and read; the Blackboard and learn about grammar. Ther is also the Clubhouse where you can click on objects that animate or take you to other places like the Mailroom, the Jukebox to listen to music, the Fishtank game, the map of the USA, the Lookout to play a Solar System game, the Treasure Tree for a matching game, the Recycling game in the Boiler room, the Football Field for a great math game. There are so many fun and educational games for kids of all ages like the Bone Vault, the Measuring and Weighing room, the Cave Writings, the Cricket Band for music games, the Log Ride for great math exercises, and the Ice Cavern. Of all the software we own, I would say JumpStart's 1st and 2nd Grade are the best.
