"Ya know, paper doesn't grow on trees." he said. I just giggled. "Over two million pages last year..." he continued, trying to accent the million to make it sound impressive. Two million is impressive no matter how you say it. I work for a university, and though i hate the thought of students being a huge cause for the destruction of forests... it is quite impressive that most of those two million pages were printed out on these hp's. The hp 8100 is a work horse to the extreme. It is a wonderful high volume printer that requires low maintenance. You come to expect sharp black well defined print outs from hp, and this printer delivers. Text pages are extremely clean (unless you spill toner on a roller), graphics are well done - not top quality, but good enough if you are using a b&w printer for graphics. The 4 ream optional paper tray is also quite nice (it allows us to refill our printers maybe 3 times/day... of course you may last a week or more with it). However, it does have a problem with crumpling the top few sheets when opened.
