| Salsalatina's Full Review: Elsa Synergy II |
With its 128bit controller and 300MHz pixel clock, the Winner II can handle a top resolution of 1600x1200 in 32bit colour depth at 85Hz or 1920x1440 in 16bit at 75Hz. So for users with anything less than a 19in monitor, it's unlikely you'll over-stretch the card's 2D capabilities. It also has the ability to render 3D scenes in 32bit colour depth, increasing its potential lifetime.
Windows 95/98 and NT 4.0 are supported in 2D mode by the Winner II, with the drivers supplied on CD-ROM. These drivers have intuitive interfaces that provide fast access to features such as refresh rate adjustment and monitor selection or definition. Gamers get essential DirectX and OpenGL support.
