I read your difficulty with MDG in St. Catharines a couple of years ago.
I myself am tempted to buy a computer from MDG in that location, but after reading your complaint, I am not so sure!
Did your problem ever get resolved?

I live in Vancouver BC, it hard to believe that prices can differ so much from ON to BC.
Frankly I was horrified you paid that much for a Pentium 3 and so little power. You could get the same thing for $400 - $500 here.
I recomend you read "The computer paper" I believe it is available in Toronto. You can buy a basic Pentium 4 for $700 - $900 here.

from MDG, the staff was friendly and helpful. THe computer is really fast and I have had little to know trouble with it. I think it was great value for the money I spent. Before I bought my system, I was at furure shop service counter just eavesdropping. Now these people get alot of returns. I was going to buy there but thought I be back in line within days. then I went up the street and got my MDG. I also considered Dell but didnt like the fact they have no local stores and they use propriatiary ram so if you want to upgrade, you have to buy Dell inflated ram.

MDG in St. Catharines - BEWARE! (Reply to this comment)
by versi
I purchased a brand-new $1,700.00 computer from the St. Catharines store and it is defective. It shuts down spontaneously and although I've only had this machine since September 17th, it has been a nightmare.
The customer service is almost non-existant and the store mgr is as apathetic as possible.
I expect I'll have to try and get my money back, but the store manager and the people in Oakville and Mississauga are also not interested in resolving the problems, so I may end up in small claims court.
Do not, repeat, do not purchase a computer from these people. They appear to only be interested in making the sale providing sub-standard service.
