If your new on the internet or getting started netzero is a great service.

Netzero allows you to get to the internet without paying for it, at least that is what they would like you to believe. In reality you have to pay for it in diminished bandwidth and smaller viewing area.

Connection to the service is not bad in our area, I rarely have trouble getting connected. Connection speeds have been 56K but mostly they are 36K ord 28.8K.

If you use the internet to check your e-mail and stocks this is a great service. If you do alot of downloading, don't even bother. The advertising window is not that large and is better left on the bottom of your screen.

The reason I use it is because I can get on AOL without paying the full amount and I get just about the same quality connections. A regular AOL account can cost $20 and with netzero as your ISP it is only $10. This is good if you need to get into the newsgroups or FTP's.

Make sure the number you are calling to connect is not a toll call, otherwise a large phone bill will arrive within the month.

Give it a try, it costs nothing but a little time, it may wind up saving you alot of money.
