Pros: Great new features, still the best of basketball game available.
Cons: Not revolutionary as the NBA Live series is known to be.

| klaxonman's Full Review: NBA Live 2000 for PlayStation 1 |
The NBA Live series has always been great, each game better than last years. The trend usually involves improved gameplay, graphics, and sound. This year, the game took large step, but in a different direction.
NBA Live 2000 has changed dramatically from the different versions in that it has opened up many different features that previous versions did not have. These include; players from different decades, players that previously had not been put into the game for licensing reasons, and the game has also refined features such as Franchise Mode, and creating custom teams/players. The graphics/gameplay/sound have also undergone slight improvements.
While NBA Live 2000 is still by far the best basketball game available for any system, I believe it could be better. With a whole year to work on the game, I believe the folks at EA could have and should have put more work into improved graphics/gameplay/sound. While the extra features make the game nice, I believe with more work this game could have been revolutionary.
