| jaduli's Full Review: Wacom Intuos Tablet Series |
As a web-site designer bent on developing his own graphics as opposed to snatching images from other sites. I have been in an image designers heaven with my Wacom Tablet. I have a 12X12 drawing surface that I choose to keep in pen mode. I am still able to use my mouse when I choose, but if I pick up the pen and place it on the tablet it takes control. The Intuos tablet that I have been using has a stand for three pens(all of which don't have cords). You can easily program the pens to have different functions (spray gun, paintbrush, felt-pen etc.... In addition to the pens the tablet has a tracing screen. This transparent screen can be raised if you choose to place a picture or image underneath for tracing. Function buttons are also built into the tablet. These buttons can virtually be programmed to do anything you wish. The pen is pressure sensitive, allowing the user to change the darkness and width of the stroke by applying different pressures to the surface. The Tablet may be expensive, but for an avid designer it is well worth it.
