Linux Made Easy!

Pros:Free, Multiuser, Open Source, Multitasking Operating System
Cons:Trouble Installing on Athlon Based System
Red hat Linux provides the great benefits of the Linux operating system combined with their great visual installation. The first time I used Linux was at a friend's house. I was skeptical of any other operating systems besides Microsoft's Windows because that's what I always had used, but I was always open to try new things.
I was very glad I did. The X-Windows software that came with the operating system provided many ways to customize the look. It comes with everything you need to get started, and most of the software that you would like that is not included is open source and free. Even though Linux is a little more difficult to use than Windows I was able to install it and to get most of my hardware to work perfectly. The other hardware only needed some simple setting changes.
I currently own red hat Linux 6.0 and 6.1 and plan to buy version 6.2 in the near future. I'm truly excited about the new visual look of their installation and hope to see it in version 6.2. The one problem that I had with this software was its lack of support for the Athlon processor. I'm glad to see a company that realizes the importance of a free, multi-user, open source, multitasking operating system and am even happier that they're making it easier to install.
