If you haven't been there... PLEASE go to http://www.thehungersite.com/ and click their button. I found this web site thanks to epinions.com, and I think it is really a great idea. Advertising sponsors donate food according to the number of "hits" they receive, so the more we can get to click through, the more we can help with this cause.
I have to say at first I was a little skeptical... how could just going to a web page and clicking a button help? It sounded like a typical liberal solution, one that makes you feel good about yourself, but doesn't really do much to help. But this site works!
It is sites like this and the endcancernow site, that really shows the good that can come from the internet. What a great concept, you can help in a way that doesn't really cost you anything, yet does so much for the starving people of the world.
You might be surprised by some of the statistics they have posted... a person dies of hunger every 3.6 seconds. Please take the time to visit this site.
