This is a hardy machine. Certainly good around kids. It was dropped on the floor, twice, and still kept running.
The annoying things about it are...if the computer freezes up, and the power button does nothing to restart the computer, it is a major pain trying to get both the batteries unhooked on the bottom to get the power to stop running into the machine so it will restart.
NOTE: just found this out " if you hold the power switch and function key (Fn) for about eight seconds, the computer will turn off without taking the batteries out." AWSOME
The other thing is if you have a phone line hooked up to the machine, and let's say the dog runs by !! it not only takes the phone cord out, but sometimes the modem card flies out too. If your hands are too hot or too cold, it is impossible to work the mouse screen, and sometimes you don't even touch it and I guess your hand glides by while typing and it will think you've moved the mouse.
So for those of you who don't have laptops, and don't think they are strong enough, this one certainly is. It is so much more convenient to have a portable computer, I always watch t.v and surf the internet at the same time. Hey if your mate is complaining you spend too much time at your computer desk, maybe you need to get a laptop so you can sit next to them, let them feel involved!
