...my girlfriend was downloading and playing .wav files. She was also getting irritated at the seemingly low quality of the .wav files while playing them with Media Player. The day before I had downloaded and installed the latest version of Netscape for her and remembered that it came with a program that plays sounds. I had used this program in the past and had been amazed at it's quality so I suggested she run it and play her .wav's with it. Ten minutes later she was literally gasping at the increased quality of the files. One, a partial song, sounded like it was coming from the radio, not the small speaker on her laptop. Winamp is a full featured media player that plays many different formats at high quality. The skins can be fun and the plug-ins are awesome. I like the ones that will do like a screen saver but it moves in time to the music. I have been mesmerised for hours by this program and I highly recommend it!
