Actually, AMD CPU's have not had problems with "freezing up" for some time now (several years at least). In fact, Intel is now the company that has been having problems with "freezing up" and such issues, especially in the last few months. Of course, with the problems Intel has been having recently, PC's freezing up might actually be the least of their worries.
