First of all, I like the UNIX/LINUX operating system more than any Microsoft operating system.
When the talk that Linux might be the operating system that can make Bill Gates nervous, I think that can never be a fact. Assuming Linux does replace NT as the corporate operating system standard, I do not think Bill Gates will start to feel sorry for himself and start to cry. I think a variation of Linux coming from Microsoft will just start dominating the Linux market.
If a company like Corel and other growing companies, who have no experience in the operating system market like Microsoft can come up with a variation of Linux in no time, then a software giant like Microsoft can easily do that task in a more efficient and timely manner maybe not to mention a Linux variation with more bells and whistles, and maybe with a feature that it can Microsoft applications in this Linux OS. This can easily be done because the Linux source codes a free to everyone.
Like another user who prefers the UNIX OS, I will be inclined to look at a Microsoft version of Linux.
