PROS & CONS OF MOTOROLA STARTAC CLIP-ON ORGANIZER

Written: Oct 12 '99
Pros:SMALL, COMPACT, AUTOMATIC CONNECT TO MAKE PHONE CALLS
Cons:DATA ENTRY IS SLOW, NO BACK LITE, NO CALCULATOR

I am currently using a Motorola StarTac Clip-On organizer. This PDA is in piggy-back with my StarTac cellular
phone. This is a truly 2-in-1 unit and this device is the smallest and the most compact electronic organizer in
comparing with other PDA units.
This Clip-On unit is fairly easy to learn how to use, one feature in this unit that other PDA doesn't have is the
Clip-On can connect to make that cellular phone call automatically once the contact phone number is highlighted
on the LCD screen. The Clip-On runs on it's own battery power. The battery should last for 9 to 10 months
before needing fresh battery.
The method of entering data into the Clip-On organizer is not the best and not the fastest way, the user have
to scroll down the list of alphabets and press the enter button for the alphabet letter in the method of one
at a time. This process may take up many minutes. The Clip-On doesn't have back lite, so it can not be use
in the dark place. also the Clip-On doesn't have the calculator feature.
I think the Clip-On organizer have room for improvement and I hope Motorola is listening.
Overall, the Clip-On organizer is a fairly good unit for the price.
